Lady Liberty Loves the Big Stage

Hello my darlin' Rock n Rollers,

I've missed you.  Been keeping my eyes on all those strong men and women building the super new stage at The Beach at Governors Island.

The trucks kept rollin' in, the hands kept working, and up it went.

First it was sand, then benches, bars, food trailers, and finally, stage, lighting, and sound.  Get ready people.  The Battery Maritime Building stands ready as your departure gate.

On Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, the public access ferry to the Guv' is free during the day, so take a ride over, and check out The Beach, and the great big stage.

Saturday, July 11th, kicks off the season with the Dark Star Orchestra, Keller Williams, and Pete Francis.  My view of The Beach will be swimming in Tie Dye.  If you need a miracle, you want to go here.

Speaking of the Big Stage.  The Beach at Governors Island has been catching a lot of mentions.  It pays to be modest, but I really love it when your sweet B.V. gives your favorite new venue the 411.

And you know how partial I am to my gritty New York City, but when Hollywood comes a calling, you've just gotta blush. Step Off, Lindsay!

Lastly, just want to thank my friends on the island for including Miss Liberty in their blog roll.

They have me Dancing.  Dancing in the Beach.
Dancing, dancing in the Beach.

Miss L.
